Empower your health with semaglutide.
The Get Well Weight Loss program has been designed to accommodate a busy lifestyle by offering in-office or at-home injections. Semaglutide (SMGB12), the active ingredient in our formulation, has the added benefit of B12. It is one of the most effective therapies we have had in decades. The initial consultation and follow-ups are done using telemedicine. This approach allows for Semaglutide (SMGB12) with B12 given as an at-home or in-office weekly injection.
The cost of an online consultation for Semaglutide is only $100 with no commitments or membership fees. In addition, the medication can be purchased from our partnering pharmacy for an estimated $150-$230 and is designed to last approximately 4-6 weeks, depending on the prescribed dose. Our goal is to provide you with accessible and affordable healthcare options to support your well-being.
What is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide (SMGB12) is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring hormone Glucagon-like Peptide-1. It works by producing feelings of fullness, acting on appetite centers in the brain and gut. In the STEP1 study published by the New England Journal of Medicine, patients lost 14.9% of their body weight on average. Patients also experienced improved risk factors for heart disease, blood sugar levels, and quality of life.
How do I set up an appointment for a consultation?
You can request an
online appointment on the Get Well Clinic website or call us. Once your appointment is scheduled, we will email you the intake forms. The intake forms will include a clinical questionnaire and consent forms. If you do not see your intake form, please check your junk mail. Please note: The intake forms and consent forms must be filled out, signed, and submitted 24 hours before your appointment so that we can prepare your chart. If the intake form is not received by that time, the appointment will automatically be canceled and opened up for those on the waitlist for an expedited consultation. Remember, your signature on the consent forms is not a commitment to treatment. You are only signing that you have received the information within the consent forms.
What is the total cost of this Weight Loss Program?
The price of the 4-6-week program is $100 for the consultation, The patient then purchases thier medication from Empower pharmacy who offers 2-3 day Shipping. The fee for the vial of medication, supplies (you give your injections at home) and shipping for medication is $190-270 per vial.
What is the difference between the virtual and in-office programs?
The at-home program is undertaken with a video consult, and medications/supplies are shipped to you directly. The at-home program will cost a little more, and you must give your injection after watching a video or consulting with a staff member. You will also be responsible for any missed doses or wasted medication. The in-office program is a little more affordable. The in-office program is the easiest, and we are responsible for ensuring you have the correct dose for the week. Either program is effectively designed to fit your life and schedule.
Will insurance cover my medication?
No, we do not attempt to bill your Health Insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid for this program.
Are labs required?
Sometimes, but optional.
How often do I follow up?
The first follow-up visit is typically 3-4 weeks after starting injections. The second follow-up is at around 10-12 weeks. These follow-ups can be through telehealth/telemedicine.
How do I administer Semaglutide (SMGB12)?
Semaglutide must be kept refrigerated. It is a once-weekly injection. You will receive a vial and insulin syringes and be responsible for administering your injection. Instructions for these injections are given at the consultation. Dosing is based on the SMGB12 recommended (sample) dosing schedule. For example, 10 units (0.50mg) or 15 units (0.75mg) are injected once weekly for the first four weeks. Then the dose increases by 5 units (0.25mg) weekly for four weeks. We may be required to adjust this dosing based on response and side effects. (The dosing card will direct the exact dose)
Is there a time limit to how long I can take Semaglutide?
There is no time limit to taking Semaglutide (SMGB12), and you can continue the medication if you do not meet your weight loss goal in the first 12 weeks. However, the second vial will not last as long as the first due to the continued dose escalation.
Do I have to increase the dose to the maximum dose?
No. Let’s say you continue the medication after the initial 12 weeks. At that point, you will typically take 30 units and are about to increase to 40. If you want to stay at 30 units because a.)you are losing weight and doing so without side effects b.) want to make this second vial last longer than it would if you increased the dose: you may stay at 30 units.
Can I increase the dose faster than the recommended dosing schedule?
Yes, you can. However, the Semaglutide (SMGB12) dosing schedule is designed the way it is to minimize side effects. If you choose to increase your dose faster than what is recommended by Semaglutide, then your vial will not last the entire 4-6 weeks. You also increase the risk of unwanted side effects (nausea, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, etc.)
What are the side effects of Semaglutide (SMGB12)?
Side effects vary significantly per individual. Some experience no side effects, but most will see some degree of the potential side effects. These are generally GI-related and can include nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, belching, abdominal pain, fatigue, and headaches.

- Thyroid C-cell tumors were observed in rodent studies, but this was not observed in either human or monkey studies.
- Acute kidney injury from dehydration if significant vomiting or diarrhea occurs.
- Hypersensitivity/allergic reactions.
Can Semaglutide (SMGB12) cause hypoglycemia?
Patients on insulin or insulin secretagogues/sulfonylureas like glimepiride or glyburide are at risk for hypoglycemia when taking Semaglutide. Dose adjustments of these medications may need to be made when taken with Semaglutide.
How long does it take to get my medication?
Once consent forms are received, and the invoice is paid, it will typically take 5-7 business days to receive your medication.
